I've travelled quite a bit on Amtrak's long-distance trains and Acela, but I've never been on the Pennsylvanian. I'm taking it from Philly to Greensburg in July and I booked a coach seat. Business Class is only about $20 more -- is it worth it? What are the perks?

From my trip on the Carolinian, which also has Business Class like the Pennsylvanian, the perks were a complementary newspaper, drink service in the Business Class car, a free non-alcoholic drink from the Snack Car, a little bit more legroom than in the standard Amfleet coach cars, and a guaranteed pair of electrical outlets at each pair of seats. Also it tends to be a little quieter, so yes, I'd say it's worth the $20 difference all in all.

Well I ride the Maple Leaf quite a bit and the $25 or so it costs is totally worth it. Seat is huge, "Leather", totally reclines, outlets everywhere and it is usually a private section at the other end of the cafe car. Go for it!

Better seats, no kids, fewer tourists.
